Carol Valle is happy to return to the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a double Major in Art, while working at the University. From 1992 to 1996, she was a Senior Patient Clinical Assistant in the UM Department of Epidemiology’s South Florida Program on Aging and Health, conducting interviews for a large population-based study assessing the health status and needs of elderly communities in Miami-Dade. The interviewers used cognitive function tests, blood pressure and anthropometric measurements for drawing the study’s conclusions. After promoting the study in community centers and the radio, Carol left the University to promote Zeneca’s cardiovascular line of medicines. More recently, as an Administrative Assistant and Computer Graphic Assistant at Digitart, Carol deployed her marketing and communication skills in a more artistic arena.

Carol has lived in various countries of the Americas: having been raised in Puerto Rico, she later moved to Argentina and the U.S. She looks forward to contributing her varied background to the Center for the Humanities.
