The Research Fellowships bring together faculty and advanced graduate students (writing dissertations) in order to enable scholarly exchanges that cross departmental and disciplinary boundaries. Fellows participate in a research colloquium, chaired by the Center's Director, that meets regularly throughout the academic year; each meeting focuses on the project of one of the fellows.
Up to seven fellows are selected through an external review. The fellowship provides release for two courses, either to be taken in one semester or over the course of the academic year.
Up to two dissertation fellows, chosen by the Center's faculty board, participate each semester in the year-long colloquium along with the faculty fellows. The level of support matches the existing departmental TA stipend.
